For a good experience for everyone
Simple rules that ensure everyone can enjoy the fishing and nature. Please read them before you start – then we'll all be happy.
Do's & Don'ts
Buy a fishing licence first
You are not allowed to start fishing until you have purchased your fishing licence. The licence is personal.
1 rod, 1 hook
You are welcome to switch between multiple rods, but you may only fish with one rod at a time and with one hook per rod.
Tidy up after yourself
Use the provided bins – even for cigarette butts. Only clean fish at the cleaning station.
No loud noise or music
Music and disruptive behaviour are not permitted. We value the peace and quiet by the lake.
No dogs
Dogs are not permitted in the area without prior arrangement with staff.
No barbecuing
Barbecuing is not permitted. Only by arrangement with staff for group events.
Rules for trout
What you are allowed to do
- All trout species may be caught and taken home
- Spinners, small wobblers etc. are permitted
- Worms are permitted as bait
- Fishing with spinners or lures up to 12 g.
- Trout must be killed immediately after being caught
What you are not allowed to do
- Other fish species such as sturgeon, carp, catfish, tench, pike and similar must always be released
- No baiting before or during fishing
- No live bait (except worms)
- Fish near the shore may not be caught with nets
- Fish may not be cleaned in the lake – only at the cleaning station
Rules for sturgeon
Release
Sturgeon must always be released. Theft or killing incurs a fee of DKK 800 per kg, police report, and permanent ban.
Rods & Reels
The rod must have a minimum casting weight of 80g. A strong reel of at least size 6000, with a drag resistance of 11kg or more.
Line
The main line must be at least 0.50 mm monofilament line or 0.30 mm braided line.
Leader
The outermost 2 metres must be monofilament/fluorocarbon or other soft material of at least 0.50 mm.
Hooks
Barbless single hook, with a size of at least 1/0. No circle hooks are permitted.
Handling
Sturgeon are lifted by grasping the base of the caudal fin with one hand, while the other hand supports under the belly. The maximum lifting height is 50 cm. Fish must always be handled on one of our free loan mats for unhooking or in the water.
Catfish
The rules for catfish are the same as the sturgeon rules, with one important change regarding handling.
All handling and photography must take place on the unhooking mat. Catfish may under no circumstances be lifted.
We have stocked 5 European catfish. The largest weighed 12.5 kg upon stocking.
They are most often caught in summer, when they are most active.
Our catfish have reproduced since stocking.
